Marie-Anne Oudejans is a Dutch designer and decorator with a career spanning fashion, art, and interior design. She began her journey in Paris, working as an assistant and stylist in the fashion industry, where her talent was quickly recognized.
In 1998, she stepped away from Tocca to travel extensively through Europe and Asia, consulting for designer clients and creating concepts for fashion and fragrance brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, and Valentino.
She has since adopted the same technique through different types of projects including hospitality, retail, fabric and even tableware design. Her work is very site specific, emphasizing a unique combinaison of styles that has earned recognition from Doha to Capri.
In 1994, she launched her fragrance label, Tocca, in New York. The brand instantly became a cult favorite for its romantic and ethereal aesthetic. Marie-Anne’s remarkable design vision was recognized in 1995 when she received the Perry Ellis Award for New Talent from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
Her creative path took her to India, where she expanded into interior design. With her team of artisans and painters, she developed a distinctive decorative approach. In 2013, she completed her first major project, Bar Palladio Jaipur, commissioned by Barbara Miolin. This project became an icon of contemporary Indian design, combining tented ceilings, Mughal-inspired motifs, and bold stripes in her signature colour-drenched rooms.
