Halleroed

Working across the retail and private sectors, Halleroed designs spaces which tempt passer-by. Natural stone, large wooden surfaces, muted light, and distinct forms are just a few of their many signatures. They have become best known for their work in retail, creating environments for Acne Studios, Arket, Byredo, and Frame, among many others.

Their sense and interest in noble materials such as wood, metal and stone and the importance of craftsmanship combined with sculptural objects are significant for Halleroed’s interiors. Every project is developed in a unique manner with a deep understanding of its potential, interpreted in a physical environment. While the understanding of the client is their priority when working on a new project, they never compromise on their own values.

The studio is based in Stockholm, consisting of Christian and Ruxandra Halleröd and was founded in 1998. Christian is trained cabinet-maker at the renowned Swedish school Carl Malmsten and combined his studies with design education. Ruxandra studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Architecture in Stockholm.
